About 2 Graig Afon

Graig Afon was built in 1860 by the owner of a sawmill, the remains of which can be found not far from the house. Originally, the owner lived in number 2 and his servants lived in number 1. The door between the two dwellings can be found in the main bedroom, which we believe was used as the dinning room. Many original features can still be found in the house such as bread ovens, beams and original fireplaces.

Our favourite room. Naturally split by the wooden staircase allows the room to meet two purposed, currently a music room and snug. It features a stone fireplace with bread oven, and wooden beams. The room has satellite TV outputs, plenty of electrical sockets and an electric fire. It is a relatively easy job to reinstate the chimney if you wanted to fit a wood burner.
